Councillor-Elect for District 2
Richmond County Municipal Council
Born and raised on the Northside, Lois spent 30 years in public education before retiring last year. Her passion for community schooling helped connect schools in Richmond County to the communities they serve. From supporting children with disabilities to students interested in the skilled trades, Lois brought a tenacious spirit to her work.
Working in schools helps put a lens on challenges facing families across Richmond County. Lois hopes to bring that insight to Richmond County council.
Lois currently serves on boards at L'Arche Cape Breton, The Hearts of Isle Madame, and Inclusion NS. On Sunday nights you'll find her selling Jack-It-Up tickets at the BINGO in D'Escousse.
